Disneyland and MUCH more!

We decided it was time to go on a little family vacation. As some of you may know, 2010 is the 25th anniversary since Back to the Future came out. Jordan is a HUGE Back to the Future fan, and I couldn't pass up this opportunity, so we went to California. It started on Friday, November 5, 2010 (Marty goes back to Nov 5, 1955 in the movie) with a screening of BTTF at Puente Hills Mall (Twin/Lone Pine Mall in the movie).

Saturday was a busy one as well. We started off by going to the Petersen Automobile Museum in Los Angeles, CA. They have a lot of cars and even a whole level dedicated to entertaining kids. They have a Hot Wheels sections, movie cars section, as well as many other categories. The main reason I brought Jordan here is because... that's right... there's a GOLD DeLorean there!

Jordan loved seeing the gold DeLorean. Since we aren't rich, Jordan has been working on collecting the HotWheels collector's edition DeLoreans.

After spending all day there, we had lunch at Johnny Rockets and then went driving through Beverley Hills. The rest of the day was very relaxed, as we didn't have anything in particular planned.

Sunday morning, we were up bright and early. We got ready and drove to the Universal Hilton, where we met up with the rest of the 25th Anniversary crew. We got onto a big tour bus and we were on our way! We visited a bunch of different locations where the movie was filmed. Can you guess what part of the movie this is from?

Monday and Tuesday were filled with Disneyland fun for all. Dan and Angie went to Disneyland with us and took lots of pictures. I think Emily really liked it. She had fun riding on Dumbo, watching Aladdin the Musical, riding in Finding Nemo's Submarines, going on a Jungle Cruise, and much more!
They already had reindeer there for the kids to see and a lot of holiday stuff was already up. We ended our vacation by watching the World of Color Celebration in California Adventures Tuesday night.

Wednesday late morning, we packed up our bags and said good-bye to California until next time. It was a long trip home, and we made a couple extra stops along the way to take pictures. Can you guess where we stopped to get this picture?
